Machine Limitations
Wet Muddy Ground? Don’t hire one of these!
You’ll just waste your time and money.
Why? Because dragging a trencher while it cuts through heavy wet ground requires lots of grip – and tyres and mud don’t provide enough grip.
And it doesn’t matter how much “tread” is on the tyres – sometimes there’s just no overcoming physics.
Solution? Wait until the ground dries out – or hire a tracked unit.
Specifications
Trench size: up to 800mm deep by 150mm wide.
Does this mean I can put a 150mm (6″) pipe in the trench?
NO, 150mm pipe has an inside bore of 150mm – it will be wider. The same for agi-pipes. The trench will be 150mm wide.
Will the trench be deep enough for an electricity cable?
Electricity requires 500mm above the power cable – so a 600mm deep trench is best. This machine will handle a trench this deep safely.
For Your Safety
To prevent tipping – machine not to be used on slopes greater than 15°.
No Damage Waiver applies for damage to machine or engine caused by tipping.
For Stability: Never Travel with bucket or trencher raised above base of machine body.

How Our Hire Rates Work
Same Day Saver – Hire Rate for any hire that starts and finishes on the same day.
More than one day – All days charged at same day rate until weekly rate applies.
Weekend – Pickup Saturday am and return Monday between 6.00am 7.00am.
– 8 hours use per weekend.
Is this fair – we think so; you have 2 days to do your job and we keep our hire rates fair for those with small jobs – and those who have bigger jobs and need more hours are charged extra for the extra machine wear and tear.
If you have a larger job, it may be more economical to collect Friday afternoon and pay for 2 days – which includes 16 hours use.
NOTE:
Friday after 4.00pm pick up and return Saturday before 5.00pm is always 24 hour hire rate.
Friday pick up anytime and return Monday before 7.00am = 2 x same day.
Week – 7 day week
More than one week – Days over 1 week: 20% of weekly rate (i.e. week rate divided by 5).
Month – calendar month
Hour Metre Items – 8 hours per day/weekend, 40 hours per week, 160 hours per month; extra charges apply
