A log splitter can be dangerous
So we only supply the model with built in safety.
Dual Hand Controls: keeps BOTH hands away from the dangerous bit of the log splitter so you will still have all your fingers at the end of the hire.
Horizontal Log Splitter Hire:
We don’t hire this type of log splitter.
We used to – and not all of our customers had the same number of fingers at the end of the hire as they did at the start.
We think your fingers are way more important than the little bit of extra splitting speed a horizontal log splitter (apparently) gives.

It may struggle with knotty pieces of red gum – but splitting with the grain will work fine as on this video.

How Our Hire Rates Work
Same Day Saver – Hire Rate for any hire that starts and finishes on the same day.
More than one day – All days charged at same day rate until weekly rate applies.
Weekend – Pickup Saturday am and return Monday between 6.00am 7.00am.
– 8 hours use per weekend.
Is this fair – we think so; you have 2 days to do your job and we keep our hire rates fair for those with small jobs – and those who have bigger jobs and need more hours are charged extra for the extra machine wear and tear.
If you have a larger job, it may be more economical to collect Friday afternoon and pay for 2 days – which includes 16 hours use.
NOTE:
Friday after 4.00pm pick up and return Saturday before 5.00pm is always 24 hour hire rate.
Friday pick up anytime and return Monday before 7.00am = 2 x same day.
Week – 7 day week
More than one week – Days over 1 week: 20% of weekly rate (i.e. week rate divided by 5).
Month – calendar month
Hour Metre Items – 8 hours per day/weekend, 40 hours per week, 160 hours per month; extra charges apply
