Laser Level Hire

Self Levelling Laser?

Are these lasers “self levelling”?
* No – but 15 seconds of twiddling the levelling knobs until the bubble is in the ring and the “out of level” light goes off is quicker than any “self leveling” laser.

* Self levelling mechanisms may seem wonderful – but it adds another layer of complexity to the internals of the machine to go wrong – and in a “race” to set up are slower than ours by the time they get their bearings.

* The Spectra LL500 is a top of the range accurate and long lasting laser that has been manufactured for 40 years with only a few cosmetic changes. They are the laser of choice of many concreting and construction companies with fleets of lasers that give years of service as opposed to something with lots of bells and whistles that isn’t built and designed to hold it’s accuracy (which is kind of an important feature of a laser).

SPECIFICATIONS

Hire a laser level for setting a level over long or short distances. Simple one person operation.

  • Supplied with tripod and staff and of course a receiver.
  • Model Laser Level: Spectra LL500
  • Operating diameter – 500 metres (ie set up in the middle of a 500 metre circle so max laser distance is 250 metres
  • Accuracy: 1.5mm at 30 metres.

Note – these aren’t dumpy levels; a dumpy level (or automatic level) does pretty much the same thing as a laser level but it requires two people to use it; one to hold the staff and the other to look through the scope and take the readings. They do the same job – but are different machines.
