Concrete Floor Grinder Hire
Hire a concrete floor grinder for removing rough and uneven concrete, polishing concrete, preparation of terrazzo floors and removing sealant and paint from concrete.
We hire a range of diamond heads and inserts for use on new concrete, old concrete and the removal of paint, sealants and glues.
Is it necessary to use water with a floor grinder?
No. Water is only used to keep down dust. But the resulting slurry can be difficult to dispose of so we recommend using a vacuum. Of course if you’re grinding a driveway or outside, water may be perfect.
Can a vacuum be attached to the concrete grinder?
Yes. Fitting a vacuum is the easiest way to keep the operator comfortable while grinding concrete. And our vacuums collect the dust in a diposable bag.
How big and area can you complete with a Better Rentals’ Floor Grinder?
We’d happily recommend our machines to clean up rain damage on a house slab or for grinding a driveway, patio or 1 or 2 rooms.
Which floor grinder should I hire?
Floor Grinder – 360mm

Stones
Diamond Wedges – 40 grit
Floor Grinder – 200mm

Use for cutting back concrete for an “exposed aggregate” look.
Can be used to grind concrete up to a wall.
Remember, “polishing” concrete is like sanding – start with course grade diamond and continue with higher grade for a smooth finish.
And of course the finish you get depends upon how the concrete was poured and its quality.
Diamond Disk – 25 grit (Colour – Grey)
Diamond Disk – 120 grit (Colour – Yellow)
Floor Grinder – 300mm
Used for the same purposes as the 200mm grinder – but for bigger areas. It has a larger head and spins faster.
